Intellisense locks up, searches takes forever. Everything breaks down. Luckily the VS team at MS has a patch available <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/vcblog\/archive\/2007\/11\/12\/performance-improvements-in-visual-c.aspx\">here<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/vcblog\/archive\/2007\/11\/12\/performance-improvements-in-visual-c.aspx\"><\/a> this has many improvements for Visual C++ and speeds it up quite a bit.
